Sergey A. Abramov

is Chairman of the Advisory Board and a Partner at Baring Vostok Capital Partners. He joined the BVCP team in June 2004. His main responsibilities are developing relationships with government bodies at all levels within the Russian Federation and promoting business development for the company. Sergey Abramov graduated from the Moscow Automobile and Road Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked as a journalist for newspapers including Literaturnaya Gazeta, Smena and Pravda. In the late 1980s he went into business and was involved in book publishing, mass media and trade. At the beginning of the 1990s, he worked on corporate governance and investment policy at a range of large banking and investment organizations. From 1997 until 2000, he was First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Telecommunications and Mass Media in the Moscow City Government and from 2000 until 2004 he was First Deputy Head of the Main Office for Internal Policy of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.

Alexei A. Leonov

is a member of the Advisory Board of Baring Vostok Capital Partners and President and Chairman of the Board of Vostok Capital. Previously, he was a member of the Board of Directors of four portfolio companies in the NIS and Baring Vostok Private Equity Funds. A test pilot, Air Force Major General, and two-time recipient of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Alexei Leonov was the first man to walk in space and was the commander of the Soviet astronaut crew during the historic Apollo-Soyuz mission.

Vadim V. Bakatin

is a member of the Advisory Committee of Baring Vostok Capital Partners and a member of the Board of Directors of Vostok Capital. He was a member of the Board of Directors of four portfolio companies in the NIS and Baring Vostok Private Equity Fund. Before beginning his work at Vostok Capital, Vadim Bakatin held several senior government posts and was First Secretary of the Regional Committees of Kirov and Kemerovo. During the late 1980s he worked as a member of the Presidential Council and Security Council of the USSR. At the same time, he headed the Ministry of Interior and later was the Head of the Committee for State Security (KGB).
