Baring Vostok's funds are primarily focused on investments in middle-market companies operating in the Region with annual sales or enterprise values between $30-$300 million.

In general, the Baring Vostok funds will generally seek to own a controlling stake in companies in which they invest. In some cases, the Baring Vostok funds will invest through a significant minority stake. While each fund's portfolio contains an adequate degree of diversification, the core industry sectors in the past have included oil & gas, media, telecommunications, financial services, and retail or consumer-related sectors.

During its operation in Russia and the CIS, Baring Vostok's funds have been invested in a broad range of companies within these industries including formerly state-owned privatized companies, new entrepreneurial ventures and co-investment opportunities with major international or Russian strategic partners.
